“AM2 Synergetic Research Initiation Workshop”. Organizing committee : R. Kubler; R. Knoblauch; M. El Mansori; S. Bukkapatnam. 

In the framework of the "AM² Transatlantic" partnership between TEES/TAMU and Arts et Métiers and the Tocqueville-Fulbright AM2 Chair of Professor S. BUKKAPTNAM, the "AM² Synergetic Research Initiation Workshop", organised on 14 October, brought together assistant and associate professors from Arts et Métiers with those from TEES. Around thirty people took part in this workshop in virtual format. The aim of this seminar is to create scientific and thematic links in order to strengthen collaborative research between TAMU and ENSAM.

The first part of the workshop took stock of the AM² partnership between TEES/TAMU and Arts et Métiers and presented the perspectives by addressing :

• academic (double degree) and scientific exchanges (visiting professors, Fulbright-Tocqueville Chair in the presence of Satish Bukpamakam),
• IRES projects (International Research Experiences for students) 
• DeepTechTalk webinars,(link at bottom of article)
• the joint research platform (CPER, companies) with the ongoing recruitment of a senior research engineer.

This initiative also enabled the 17 teacher-researchers (8 from the Arts et Métiers campuses in Aix and Chalons and 9 associate/assistant professors from TEES/TAMU) to share the results of their research work in the form of short presentations (4 minutes) in the fields of Advanced Manufacturing, materials science and the mechanical behaviour of materials and structures. This was followed by discussions aimed at initiating future collaborations including junior and senior faculty.
