Industrial Consortium

The AM2 industry consortium consists of companies located in the United States and France who work with the AM2 research team to develop practical, cutting-edge solutions in the areas of smart manufacturing and additive manufacturing for Industry 4.0.

The consortium operations are flexible to maximize benefits and eliminate administrative burden. Individual member companies can work directly with the AM2 researchers on a specific technical problem. Alternatively, several members may combine resources to obtain results of mutual interest.

The consortium steering committee consists of representatives from the member companies. The steering committee selects research topics, advise on research progress and directions, and give guidance regarding topics for workforce development and training. The ownership or licensing of intellectual property is addressed at the time a project is established.

The resulting AM2 Consortium on Industry 4.0 seeks to strengthen transatlantic public-private collaboration and advance emerging scientific, technology, and workforce development challenges for industry, especially surrounding smart manufacturing and materials that combines Advanced Manufacturing, Materials Science, as well as AI/data science. We are looking forward to innovate and solve problems that are relevant to the international manufacturing industry, together with industry giants, as well as small-to-medium enterprises, technological providers and startups.
